James Cameron Quiz

Avatar premier's this week, it's a new movie from James Cameron. Cameron is a Canadian born film director, producer, screenwriter and film inventor. His writing and directing work includes The Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss and Titanic. After several feature films, Cameron turned his focus to documentary filmmaking. And he has been working on the co-development of the digital 3-D Fusion Camera System. His current movie is a piece of epic science fiction, Avatar, which will make use of the Fusion Camera System technology.

Donny Osmond Quiz

Donny Osmond was born on December 9, 1957 and is an American singer, musician, actor and former teen idol. Osmond was also a talk show and game show host, record producer, race car driver, and author.


He is known for being half of a brother-sister singing act and member of the "Osmond Brothers" singing group. From 1991-1997 he played the lead role in an Andrew Lloyd Webber theatrical production. Lord Webber, impressed by his talents and the show's long run, chose Osmond to do the film version in 1999.

The Death of John Lennon Quiz

On the night of December 8, 1980, at around 10:50 pm, an assailant shot John Lennon in the back four times in the entrance of his apartment building. Earlier that evening, Lennon had autographed a copy of Double Fantasy for the murderer who had been stalking Lennon since October. Lennon was taken to the emergency room of nearby Roosevelt Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival at 11:07 pm.

Attack on Pearl Harbor Quiz

On the morning of December 7, 1941, the attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise military strike conducted by a foreign navy against the United States' naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. This attack resulted in the U.S. becoming militarily involved in a significant war. It was intended as a preventive action to keep the U.S. Pacific Fleet from influencing the war. It did not work out that way.

Happy Birthday Joe Walsh. He is a guitar virtuoso who has had both a great solo career and as a member of three commercially successful bands, James Gang, Barnstorm, and the Eagles.


He attended Kent State University and played in various Cleveland area bands. His signature greeting "How Ya Doing?" harkens back to Joe's wild youth. He had a reputation for abusing alcohol and drugs and made some classic crazy appearances on the Howard Stern show. But since 1995 he has been clean and sober and that has translated into success with many musical projects including the Eagles tours.

From 1978 to 1995, the Unibomber sent 16 bombs to targets including universities and airlines, killing three people and injuring 23. He sent a letter to The New York Times in 1995 and promised "to desist from terrorism" if they published his manifesto. The FBI apprehended him on April 3, 1996.
